Freedom from Over-thinking

Most of the sorrow I experience after a challenging situation does not come from what happened. It comes from the thoughts that follow – the stories, the noise, the fear and the reactions. As I repeat the story to myself and others, it becomes bigger. My mind causes sorrow through this expansion of thought. Telling my story to caring listeners helps me understand my reactions and feel supported. When I return to the silent space within and shrink all my thoughts to their seed form, I become free from sorrow. Healing is a silent inner process, nurturing the roots of my being. Today let me free myself from over-thinking.
