Passing of BK Brijmohan, Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris

On October 9, 2025, deeply respected Br Brij Mohan, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, a key member of the organizations’ Management Committee, and  Head of the Accounts Department, passed away at the age of 92. He was a great soul who was embodiment of the most noble qualities, and completely surrendered to the service of humanity – up to his last breath.

Born on January 7, 1934, in Amritsar, Punja. From an early age, he was inclined towards spirituality and studied numerous scriptures. Br Brij Mohan graduated in Commerce (Honours) from the University of Delhi in 1953 and obtained a Law (LLB) degree in 1955, before becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant in 1956. He came in contact with the Brahma Kumaris during 1955. He had served in the Fertilizer Corporation of India (a Government of India enterprise) for a period of 17 years, and in the year 1973, he resigned from the post of Finance Manager and dedicated himself to the socio-spiritual cause of the organisation.

Br Brij Mohan travelled extensively across all five continents delivering lectures and conducting Rajyoga retreats. He was a delegate at several international conferences like the World Hindu Conference in Mauritius, the International Religious Conference in South Africa, and the World Forum of Spiritual Culture in Kazakhstan. He also participated in the United Nations Millennium in the year 2000 and the presentation of BKs’ Million Minutes of Peace Appeal project at the UN Headquarters, New York.

Br Brij Mohan was a tireless promoter of human values and organised numerous seminars on social and spiritual themes across the nation during eight decades of his spiritual journey. He was also an active member of the Core Committee on Education in Human Values, Ministry of Education, Government of India. He also acted as the Director of Gollywood Studio, Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC), Gurgaon, and produced several short feature films on various socio-spiritual themes.

A brillian essayist, amongst his many accomplishments was to serve as the editor of the spiritual publication, Purity, as well as frequent contributor to World Renewal, The Daily Guardian, and Times of India.
